Raley’s promotes Levi Wingo to senior vice president of operations

Levi Wingo has been named senior vice president of operations for Raley’s operating division at The Raley’s Cos.

Raley’s, based in West Sacramento, Calif., said yesterday that Wingo (left picture), in an expanded role, will now oversee pharmacy operations and Raley’s facilities and construction crews, as well as all operations of Raley’s 121 stores in California and Nevada. He previously held the title of Vice President of Operations.

“Levi is an innovative leader with deep operational experience and a strong commitment to people and purpose,” Jen Warner, president of Raley’s operating division, said in a statement. “I am delighted that Levi continues to grow our business, improve our performance and deliver an exceptional experience for our customers and team members.”

A Raley veteran of more than 16 years, Wingo began his grocery retail career with the company in 2006 as a Courtesy Clerk before moving on to various store management positions, including Chief Store Team Leader in 2010 and District Team Leader in 2014. He served more than two and a half years as General Manager of the wellness-focused concept store Raley’s Market 5-ONE-5 – which was announced in 2016, launched in May 2018 and closed last January – and in March 2018 became Executive Director of Store Operations. Wingo was promoted to Vice President of Operations in June 2021.

Wingo, Raley noted, led a number of special projects focused on growth and innovation, including being part of the core team that developed the better ONE Market (organic, nutrition and education) store banner. for you, which now has four locations (three in California and one in Nevada.

Raley’s operating division is part of The Raley’s Cos., created late last year when Raley’s completed its acquisition of southwestern grocer The Bashas’ Family of Stores.
