Brentord FC Community Sports Trust is hosting a fast-track registration morning for the last places in an internship program. The internship program takes place over ten weeks and is aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and 24 who are not in education, employment or training. Anyone interested in getting involved can find out more on Wednesday, June 1, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., at the Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub.
The program is a full-time course with 15 hours per week of placements. There will be 12 hours a week to help young people with their employability. This will include workshops on money management, knife crime, diversity, inclusion, health and nutrition.
The course also includes functional English and math skills and the opportunity to gain a recognized qualification. The internship will provide the skills and support needed for training and employment, as well as a tailored reference for each young person to further support their transition journey.
