Dr Diane C. Madfes is a Certified Dermatologist specializing in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, using cutting edge technology and cutting edge machinery. Dr. Madfes specialties include facial rejuvenation, the use of fillers (like grease and fillers), Botulinum injections to smooth facial wrinkles, non-ablative Fraxel laser resurfacing, Thermage, sclerotherapy, chemical peels and general skin care. She is skilled in the early detection and treatment of skin cancer, as well as extensive experience in lipotransfer surgeries.

Currently, Dr Madfes is a practitioner in an office in downtown Manhattan making time to see patients in Greenwich, his hometown. She is also an attending physician at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. The physician is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatological Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Women’s Medical Association, and the American Society of Liposuction Surgery. She was a consultant for the Garnier skin care line, a division of L’Oréal. She was involved in R&D, was an integral part of the launch and marketing. In addition, she has been a consultant for SkinCeuticals and La Roche-Posay for the acne and aging lines, and more recently an advisor to CeraVe for their international launch. She is also the creator of BurnCream ®, an over-the-counter topical burn care product.

After graduating from medical school in 1992, Dr. Madfes completed an internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital in the Department of Internal Medicine. She then began a three-year residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she trained in dermatologic surgery, sclerotherapy, laser surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and general dermatology.

As an admired physician in the field of dermatology and dermatologic surgery, Dr Madfes is a published author of medical research and has been cited in various magazines, as well as on television and radio broadcasts. His recent work focuses on skin problems associated with menopause, methods of preventing aging and wound healing. A recent abstract was accepted at the EADV AAD World Congress titled “Prevalence of Scars: US Results from the First International Study”.

Dr. Madfes is an avid hiker and fundraiser for skin cancer prevention programs. The program is called “Skin Cancer Take a Hike” and builds shade structures in parks and schools to reduce UV exposure.
