County Executive Ball Launches US Rescue Plan Website, Begins Fund-Allocation Engagement Efforts


County Executive Ball also released the Submission of the county’s initial recovery plan to the Treasury, the first of seven annual turnaround plan submissions required to the Treasury by the December 31, 2026 deadline to complete all work and spend all funds. The initial submission of the recovery plan covers all activities from the date of award until July 31, 2021.

The vision set out in the initial submission of the recovery plan builds on the recommendations set out in the HoCo RISE Collaboration Report, which charted a course for a continued response and recovery from the pandemic last March. TThe launch of the US bailout website and submission of the initial recovery plan follows months of efforts to ensure the availability of funds for the county’s continued recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The American Rescue Plan Act was enacted by President Biden on March 11, 2021, with the aim of providing support to state, local and tribal governments to respond to the impact of COVID-19 and contain COVID-19 within of their communities, residents and businesses. Since late June, the county has been actively engaged in evaluating federal eligibility guidelines and developing proposals to spend funding for the US bailout, with more than 200 proposals currently under review for a worth nearly $ 200 million.
