I put together a simple plugin the other day. It allows you to add your Amazon Wishlist to your Action Stream. (Not using Action Streams? You should! They’re a fantastic way to collect and share all of your activity around the web.)

Hi Dan,

Great plugin. Question: how do I draw the thumbnails from the Wishlist? AFAIK, the Wishlist page puts the thumbnails above the rest of the information that ASAmazon’s yaml scrapes.

This means that <img src=yadayada.jpg> is before the <td><span class=”small”><strong><a etc etc that the yaml is scraping.

Any ideas?

Also, will this work with a shopping list? So nice to have someone buy from your shopping list …

This plugin’s purpose is rather singular: to grab the URL and title of each wishlist item. I didn’t even consider doing anything more with it, like looking at thumbnails.

To add this you’ll obviously have to adjust what the scraper is finding. Look for something unique you can grab onto before the thumbnail.
